www.familyhandyman.com/article/best-websites-for-selling-your-stuff"Online options save time, are not weather dependent and generally garner higher prices for the seller. Everyone seems to be jumping on the tidy-up train and getting rid of all that unnecessary stuff that’s collecting dust. And fewer people are bothering with the commotion of hosting a garage or yard sale, instead opting for online selling options. Online options save time, aren’t weather dependent and generally bring higher prices for the seller...." My notes: For those who like to buy & sell online.

I have not sold much online. Too many problems to handle.

I used to like selling on line. Ebay was my site of choice. It's still a good way for people to sell. You reach a larger amount of people and therefore usually get a good price for what you are selling. But I now find that the listing fees and final value fees are wayyyyyyyy too high and offset any additional profit you might get by using their site. So, to me it's not worth the trouble.

That's good to know! Too bad it went downhill.

I've used Offer Up, Let Go, and Nextdoor in the past. Back in the day I used to sell on Amazon but they've made the process way too hard on individual sellers so I've long since stopped selling on there.
I don't sell things online very often anymore but when I do it's usually through the Facebook marketplace.

I have not used it but I hear that Mercari is a good platform to resell items that you no longer use. Bonanza is another platform to resell items. For handicraft, Etsy is the best platform.

I think gumroad and etsy are two good options. You may want to try out these two if you are planning on making some good income out of the online selling. Instant payments are there with ebay and etsy but I think gumroad is kind of reliable.

I've used Ebay but I have also used this website called Listia before in the past. I'm not sure if it's still around, but back when it came out in 2010 or 2011, I participated in lots of surveys to earn points. I ended up earning enough points to get a Sonic X DVD and even a couple of Sonic games too! But then it became very popular and many people were wanting too many points for games, I stopped using it.

I sold on Ebay only when it was free to sell with a comission to ebay. I tried on Amazon, but they have lot of rules and cannot understand their algorithm to rank in Amazon searches.
